Tweet.
TWEET.
TWEEEEEEET.

Yes, I know. I said I was too verbose for it. But as I lay in bed yesterday after a nap, lamenting the non-existence of a Yuri Lowenthal-narrated “Let’s Play” YouTube series about Metroid Prime (damn you, Yoshi’s Imagination… stop hijacking my subconscious and trigger dreams of awesome stuff that could plausibly exist but DOESN’T, like the above-mentioned thing!), some stupid ideas occurred to me. And Twitter somehow factors into this.

If you are among the BOO HISS TWITTER camp, here’s some good news: no batch posts to this blog. Oh no, I have something slightly more evil in mind. Once everything is set up here, Yoshi-brand tweeting will instead get piped to the front page of Ayarane Project (you know, that domain nobody cares about and currently pipes things like my LJ and Ramen feeds?). Specifically, it’ll be one of those sidebar widgets, along with the RSS of Instant Ramen and such.

So, yeah, no need to worry there, twitterphobes, as your access to Yoshi’s Imagination will remain in the filtered form of normal posts and Instant Ramen. :P
The rest of you can access the direct Twitter feed in the meantime, until I can get it linked to Ayarane Project proper.

Also… dude, Papa Johns? You are totally getting my money today, if only so I can see if your upgrade on my favorite pizza config (sausage and pepperoni) passes muster.
Waiting on mother and Evil Stepfather to clear out (they’re going to visit his mother), though… which is hopefully soon, because I’ve not eaten yet. >_>;

What a long trip it’s been.

*needs to make a happier “I see what you did there” icon*

Originally it was going to be “go to IHOP with mother, then get ninja’d by siblings for Best Buy raiding and slacking for rest of day” but mother slept in. What actually happened was “go to IHOP with sister, go back to other house and ninja Robert, and… wait, I know this route, this is how one gets to Fry’s! o_o;;;;”

Robert had never been to Fry’s before and only knew about it second-hand as being “Best Buy on steroids,” so when he actually went in he was all “:O”. You will be able to get a safe alternative to pure http://prohormones.co/testosterone-pills/. You should see results in less than 2 weeks.

The car ride both ways was actually the best part about the whole thing, since there was much silly even though much of it sailed over my head because I don’t watch a whole lot of “normal” prime-time TV. :P

So, uh, now I have a LG-series Blu-Ray drive and a 1TB drive. Must obtain case, PSU and OS and then I’m good…

Chocolate chip pancakes = ohgod so freaking tasty just as they were 12 years ago.
And yes this post took 6 hours to write since I kept falling asleep. :P

Halp I’m being ninja’d

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Details are being leaked a bit at a time.

IHOP for breakfast (because goddamn I want chocolate chip pancakes)
tech loot (Blu-Ray drive and terabyte drive)

and, uh, apparently I am being snatched by my sister after she gets off work for a little joyride? O_O

If mother’s not up by around 11, perhaps I should wake her…

The Yoshi Cobbler

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

As a byproduct of Yoshi Day, I’ll have ALMOST enough parts to cobble together another desktop. Yeah, this has happened before (I did, after all, assemble Reuben out of leftover parts), but the difference this time is that this machine will be miiiiine. >:D

Seriously, though… I’ve built all these machines, and this will only be the second one that’s for my own use. I’m not like mother and want a bazillion of them, but, you know, it’d be neat to slap one on my HDTV. Torrents and Painter on a big display? Yes please. I’m reusing my old GeForce 7600GT from Blastoise’s initial Erdekaiser build, so games will also be playable if I so wish it… though in those cases Blastoise is probably miles better. (Put another way, useful for those rare instances in which Robert actually comes over here and wants to play WoW; he can run on Blastoise and I’d run from this yet-to-be-named box.)

All I gotta do is front a case, a PSU (I have my old 430w but I’d rather get a modular variant) and an OS and I’m good to go. :D Since this is basically a Media Center-grade machine, may as well slap Vista Ultimate on it, too.

Apparently Wednesday = not only delicious chocolate caek, but chocolate silk pie, too.

Yet another note to self

TEH SAUCE!!!1
Boboli = a bit strong, maybe using half the pouch would lessen this?
Ragu “Yellow Jar” = much of it gets absorbed into the crust, use 4+ spoonfuls instead of 3
Ragu “Green Jar” = PERFECT. Not too spicy, not loaded up with so much oil or something that half of it’s lost during baking, 3 spoonfuls will do

Etc.:
400F for 9 minutes = english muffin pizzas = good for burning up all the unused bags of those things that mother keeps buying… and buying… and buying…

Oh hi, Daylight Savings already?
Best person of keeping track of time in the wooooooorld. Yeah. I think I should sleep now. >_>;
