(Instant Ramen Sketchbook) Snowscheme ’15 Part 1: Coffee Break

Post dressing for "Coffee Break"

I always drink coffee after a long day of shopping!

So art happened! I even streamed a couple sessions, though the second time I kept dropping my connection. And while it took quite awhile, I did finish it.

Also: HAPPY FLOWER CAKE.

The next one, despite what I said earlier, I may actually attempt to do entirely on the iPad Pro. I think part of my problem is that when I run into “oh this doesn’t work the way I’m used to” problems with those apps is that I’d sooner just shoot the file over to Blastoise rather than dig in my heels to find a workable solution where I am. I mean, I know in the big picture both units have to work together for a high-quality, well-polished piece, buuut… I DID get this thing so I can draw on it, you know? And I should actually try to DO that rather than just make a token scribble and then fall back on Blastoise since it’s more comfortable/less intimidating there.

Snowscheme 2011 Part 2 - Sharing is Caring
Hey, now. No need to play tug’o’war with the dragon. Plenty of Hikaru for everyone, ya know?

NEW: Justin.TV archival video! Because you like watching noodles boil, right?
Ink to Partial Color
Partial Color to Completion

Unfortunately the Justin.tv archive videos will expire in a few days. I’ve got the FLV files looted and they are playable, but I cannot edit them because everyone and their cat is freaking over the lack of audio (VLC screams bloody murder over “LOL undf error”). I did the initial streams without audio since, well, there was nothing worth sending up (aside from, uh, my Pandora Radio stream). I guess in the future I’ll just have to suck it up and let Blastoise stream with audio. :P Of course, future broadcasts will also enable doods to call in and sass it up via Skype~

In addition to WIP screencap, I bring you what I hope will become a regular feature here on Ayarane Project: Instant Ramen LIVE! Click on the screencap to go see the archived video. :D
pardon the preroll ads -_-;

With Blastoise’s transmigration, he now has the ability to livestream the contents of his desktop without horrendous input lag. What this means for you is that… well, recall that others had the ability to “sit in” on Blastoise to watch me draw (via VNC) but even then it was laggy and I could only hold one other person at a time. Now the dude can stream to my Justin.tv channel and many can watch if they want to see the sausage being made. :)

You may want to follow me on Twitter if you want to know when I’m about to stream. But, Justin.tv auto-archives all streams for a little while after the fact– they used to do it indefinitely but the archived stuff only lasts a few days now. Worst-case, I’ll just have to do a local recording and upload that to YouTube manually. One way or another, these will be available somewhere for later viewing if you can’t catch the live show.

This first attempt has no sound– all I was running was just Pandora’s Christmas music anyhow. But in future sessions, presuming this draws in some sort of an audience, I’ll turn on the audio so I can pick select doods to call in on Skype for sass and lulz.

Sharing is caring. It can also lead to headfire.

I need to not torpedo my own (extremely self-serving by virtue of being of my own creation) OTP for others’ amusement and go back to when I would shamelessly draw Hikaru and Numair fluffy happytimes. On the other hands, scenes like the above are stupidly funny. Oh well. One of these days! :P

Snowscheme 2011 Part 1: Gone Caroling
Yet another example of “life made better with beer.” Or not. Just imagine those three wandering through Prontera City, singing loud and off-key and just… laughing it off, Beavis and Butthead-like.
